Spend the day exploring Brighton. Options include the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Pier and seafront and the famous Lanes shopping area.

Royal Pavilion   

Built as a pleasure palace for the Prince Regent, later King George IV, the Royal Pavilion is a distinctive landmark with its exotic oriental appearance. See also the Royal Pavilion Garden, one of only a few fully restored regency gardens in the country with many of the plants from the original list of plants supplied to George IV.

Admission is not included in the trip.

Brighton Museum and Art Gallery

Situated adjacent to the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery houses one of the most important and eclectic collections outside national institutions. Collections include fine art, 20th-century art and design, world art from Egypt, Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Americas, a fascinating exhibition about Brighton’s history, fashion and style gallery and the Spotlight gallery.

Brighton Pier

The pier was built in 1899 and has entertained people ever since.  There are various rides and attractions as well as places to eat and drink.

The Lanes

Originally the fishing town, the Lanes is an interesting mix of old streets and alleyways filled with a wide variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.  You are likely to find buskers playing here too.

North Laine

Visit the bohemian North Laine shopping area which has over 300 independent shops and offers an eclectic mix of shopping, cafes and entertainment areas. 

British Airways i360

A new 'vertical cable car taking you 450 feet up to admire the views.

Other museums

Why not explore the Toy and Model Museum (entry fee), the Booth Museum of Natural History (free entrance), or the Fishing Museum (free entry).
