Day Trips | Pick-ups in Petersfield, Liphook, Whitehill and Haslemere 17th July
Shopping, beaches, Victorian architecture, award-winning gardens, cafes and restaurants galore! There is plenty to do. Choose between Bournemouth or Poole with the option to take a scenic harbour and river cruise.
We drop off at both Bournemouth and Poole - you choose! The town of Bournemouth is famous for its mix of shopping and sandy beaches – there are 7 miles of them! It is also well known for its gardens -there are 2000 acres of parks and gardens – try the Lower, Central and Upper Gardens which retain much of their Victorian character and are Grade II listed. The Lower Gardens are renowned for their floral displays using bedding plants and there are often events and attractions here in the summer months. For shopping, the town centre is pedestrianised and has a mix of independent shops as well as various department stores and brand name stores
There are two piers to see – Bournemouth pier (now an activity centre) and Boscombe pier or try a ride on the ‘Bournemouth Eye’ a helium-filled balloon taking 28 passengers up 150m to give fabulous views
Alternatively, take a 1-hour cruise around the world's second-largest natural Viewing Islands including Brownsea, Dorset Lakelands, Isle of Purbeck and the busy harbour entrance. The skipper gives a commentary pointing out places of interest and wildlife within Poole Harbour. Refreshments and basic snacks are available on the boat.
You are also welcome to just visit Poole. Walk along the quayside or visit Poole Pottery or Poole Museum. Go shopping at the Quayside Emporium or Dolphin Shopping Centre with over 100 stores.
Departures from 8:30 am, arrive home around 6:30 pm.
